ABSTRACT

This article deals with the experience lived during the execution of an Extension project with research interface, conducted by academicians and teachers of Universidade Federal do Triângulo Mineiro, in the year of 2010. Using the scenario of a municipal school of Uberaba-MG, Brazil, the following themes were approached: Sexuality, Teenage Pregnancy, Alcohol and Drugs, throughout 12 workshops with approximately 200 students from the 7th and 8th series of morning and night shifts. Despite technical, structural and human difficulties, the richness of discussions raised and the reporting of parents, teachers and students can demonstrate the achievement of the project’s objectives, with social and interventionist character, using structural features of the public school system for the construction of a new local educational reality that can and should be replicated.
